American policymakers might take note of the common-sense philosophy of former Australian prime minister John Howard. Howard was a great supporter of free enterprise, but he regularly noted the deep benefits of a lesser level of inequality in fostering enduring prosperity. “Our social cohesion . . . is arguably the crowning achievement of the Australian experience over the past century,” he once said in a major speech. “Yet this cohesion will be tested if wealth and opportunity can’t be fairly and broadly distributed across society as in the past.” With American politics fraying at the seams, it is not unreasonable to ask policymakers and economists to reexamine some of their foundational assumptions. It would be a shame, after all, to lose democracy for a couple of intellectual misconceptions.

Imagine a brain in which the visceral sense of knowing is disconnected from centres for logical thought, yet stuck on a given idea. No matter what contrary evidence or line of reasoning is presented that the idea is wrong, that brain will continue to generate a feeling of rightness. We’re all familiar with this behaviour in its most extreme form – those intractable ‘know-it-alls’ entirely immune to contradictory ideas. We must at least consider the possibility that know-it-all behaviour is a problem of neural circuitry, much like dyslexia.

Regarding the look of turbines “the problem can be mitigated if you build outside urban areas”. This shows a shocking lack of understanding of how turbines can effect harmfully certain rural landscapes. In fact, one might say that by nature they are more suited to already industrialized ‘edge of city’ landscapes. Well intentioned promoters of the technology really need to stop digging their head in the sand when it comes to this issue, and more research needs to be done into how to successfully site the machines in places where they will cause less harm to landscape.

the child’s five years of age .this clearly shows that all personnel laws are having a common essence . The debate in implementing universal common civil code for all citizens should be completed this year with the introduction of the much awaited Bill in parliament with a provision for sharia laws to prevail incase of a conflict , if a question of law is raised in court and not as a general option for citizens of India which should alone be the civil code .

3. It is an added cost to the government and taxpayers’ money.
With the argument that life imprisonment with no parole is more expensive, opponents say that in general, the government spends more taxpayers’ money in handling cases of death row inmates. This is due to the length and complexity of trials, the number or defenders to be hired and the overall process. They contend that there are two trials the state will spend for. One is for the verdict and another for the sentencing, not including the number of appeals that will be submitted while keeping the convicted prisoner inside maximum security.
